Tonight’s Strikeforce Challengers event on Showtime isn’t the only notable event taking place this weekend. China-based Art of War will hold its latest offering on Saturday at the Cotai Arena in Macao with “Ultimate Fighter 5” cast member Andy Wang headlining the event against Tsuboi Atsuhiro.
Other featured bouts include one of the newest member of Greg Jackson’s camp, Rolles Gracie, challenging K-1 kickboxer Peter Graham and Sengoku veteran Michael Costa facing highly-touted welterweight prospect Simeon Thoresen.

ADCC ‘09 Starts on Saturday
The 2009 Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling World Championship will kick off tomorrow morning in Barcelona, Spain. A total of five weight classes will hold matches in the men’s division while female competitors will have two choices.
Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, the 2005 ADCC Absolute Division runner-up will take on 2007 Absolute winner Robert Drysdale in the event’s annual “super-fight”. The list of competitors by weight division are listed below.

HDNet will feature live coverage of “HDNet Fights Presents: FieLDS K-1 World GP 2009 Final 16,” at the Olympic Gymnasium Arena in Seoul, South Korea, Saturday, September 26 at 12:30 AM PT/3:30 AM ET. The event will also be replayed that Saturday evening at 11:00 PM ET.
The best 16 strikers in the world will meet in the opening round of this prestigious event. And, in one of the most anticipated first round match-ups, Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem will face K-1 Legend and three-time World GP Champion Peter Aerts. Other featured first round fights include Badr Hari vs. Zabit Samedov, Jerome Le Banner vs. Japanese legend Musashi, and defending K-1 World GP Champion Remy Bonjaski vs. Melvin Manhoef.
In more first round action, K-1 Super Heavyweight Champion Semmy Schilt will also collide with impressive newcomer Daniel Ghita, Ewerton Teixeira takes on Singh Jaideep, Ruslan Karaev faces K-1 Heavyweight Champion Kyotaro, and Errol Zimmerman meets Glaube Feitosa. The winners will advance to the K-1 World Grand Prix Final on December 5 at the Yokohama Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
