UFC welterweight prospect Tamdan McCrory, who is currently on a hiatus from fighting while completing his senior year of college, is trying out for the second season of VH1’s popular reality show, “The Pickup Artist 2”.
Erik von Markovik, who goes by the name “Mystery” on the show, teaches contestants different ways to be able to pick up women in various situations and locations. Each week, one contestant is declared the winner of a challenge and granted immunity from elimination, while another is sent packing
Last season’s winner, Alvaro “Kosmo” Orlando, received a grand prize of $50,000 and was given the title of “master pickup artist”.
According to McCrory’s casting profile, he might very well be exactly the type of person VH1 directors are looking for.
“I need to have the ability to break out of my shell, and be less reserved,” McCrory said on his profile. “I’m extremely socially awkward and have lots of anxiety when it comes to women. I usually have to have a few drinks before I can even start talking, and by that time, I just come off as a buzzed idiot. I guess I have a lot to work on.”
