UFC 94: St. Pierre vs. Penn II Live Results

We will be going live at 8:00 PM ET with live results of UFC 94: St. Pierre vs. Penn II, which takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card will be broadcast live on pay-per-view starting at 10:00 PM ET.

The event is headlined by a highly-anticipated rematch for the UFC welterweight title between reigning champion Georges St. Pierre and UFC lightweight king B.J. Penn. Undefeated light heavyweights Lyoto Machida and Thiago Silva will collide as well.

Main Card:

Nate Diaz vs. Clay Guida

Round 1: Guida lands a quick right hand to start things off. They exchange and come in tight. Diaz lands a hard leg kick. Diaz throws shots from the outside. Guida tries a jumping knee. Diaz causes Guida to stumble with a right hand that lands. Guida lands a right of his own but it doesn’t faze Diaz. Guida tries for a takedown but Diaz stuffs it. Diaz pumps away with the jab. Diaz tries for a takedown of his own but Guida reverses and gets on top of him. Guida moves to side control and then takes Diaz’s back. Guida locks in a full nelson but Diaz scrambles and gets out of it before standing up. Guida picks Diaz up and slams him down. Diaz tries to stand and Guida takes his back again. Diaz turns around and they exchange strikes until the horn sounds. MMA on Tap scores the round 10-9 Guida.

Round 2: Diaz comes out aggressive to start the round. Guida misses with some punches and Diaz tries a hip toss but Guida keeps his balance. They clinch up against the cage while Guida tries to take Diaz down. Diaz works for a standing kimura until Guida takes him to the mat. They stand and Guida scores another takedown but Diaz quickly gets on top of Guida. Guida sweeps Diaz and stands up. Guida trips Diaz to the canvas but Diaz immediately gets back up. Diaz executes a judo throw but ends up with Guida behind him. They stand and against Diaz trips Guida to the mat. Guida gets on top and throws some punches. Diaz throws up for a triangle as time expires. MMA on Tap scores the round 10-9 Guida.

Round 3: Diaz lands a stiff jab to start the final round. Diaz lands a body shot and Guida follows with a leg kick. Diaz lands two right hooks during an exchange. They each miss with punches and clinch against the cage once again. They break and Diaz comes forward with more shots. Diaz starts to taunt Guida. Diaz starting to pick Guida apart. Guida backing up while Diaz stalks him. They clinch against the fence and Diaz trips Guida to the mat. They stand again with Guida on Diaz’s back. Guida eventually takes Diaz down. Guida passes to side control and Diaz rolls before standing. Guida scores yet another takedown. They stand and Guida throws some knees to the body. Guida takes Diaz down and then hops on his back. Diaz bucks him off and throws a right hand as the horn sounds to end the fight. MMA on Tap scores the round 10-9 Diaz but the fight 29-28 Guida. The judges are split, but give the nod to Guida.

Karo Parisyan vs. Dong-Hyun Kim

Round 1: Parisyan clips Kim with an overhand right during the opening seconds. Kim takes Parisyan down and lands in his guard. Kim lands a hard left on the ground and then takes Parisyan’s back. Parisyan stands up and is content to let Kim cling to him. Parisyan throws Kim to the mat but can’t get him off of his back. Kim throws some hammer fists and then asks the crowd to cheer. Parisyan loses his mouthpiece. Kim tries for an armbar but Parisyan rolls out of it. Parisyan lands a right hand and dives into Kim’s guard but gets caught in a triangle. Parisyan pulls his head out and escapes. They scramble and stand. Parisyan tries a judo throw but Kim reverses it and takes Parisyan’s back once again. Parisyan bucks him off and they eventually separate. Parisyan lands a right hook just before the round ends. MMA on Tap scores the round 10-9 Kim.

Round 2: Kim lands a couple of jabs to begin the second round. Parisyan rushes Kim with a flurry and they clinch against the cage. Kim takes Parisyan’s back once again and they go to the ground. They scramble and Parisyan nearly gets a kimura. Parisyan’s mouthpiece falls out again. They clinch against the fence again. Parisyan gets Kim to the ground and achieves side control. Kim rolls and Parisyan takes his back. Kim pops out and they clinch some more. They separate and referee Josh Rosenthal stops the fight to give Parisyan his mouthpiece back. He informs him that he will have to deduct a point if he loses it again. The fight restarts and the two exchange with nothing landing. Parisyan lands a left hand and an elbow just before the horn. Round 3: Kim takes Parisyan down to start the final stanza. Kim postures up and Parisyan inadvertently kicks Kim in the face while trying to push him away. Rosenthal stops the fight to warn Parisyan before restarting it. Kim takes Parisyan down again and takes his back. Parisyan rolls out of it and they clinch against the cage. Parisyan tries a jumping knee and then scores a takedown. Kim scrambles and stands. The crowd boos due to a lack of action. Parisyan takes Kim down again only for the Korean to stand back up. Parisyan momentarily trips Kim to his knees. Kim blasts Parisyan with a right hand before the round ends. The crowd voices their displeasure. MMA on Tap scores the round. Stephan Bonnar vs. Jon Jones

Round 1: Jones misses with a wild right to start the fight. Jones misses with a spinning back kick but lands with a short kick afterwards. Bonnar clips Jones with a left. Bonnar lands some shots via dirty boxing. Jones trips Bonnar down but Bonnar stands back up. Jones judo throws Bonnar to the mat. Bonner stands up and gets thrown again. They stand and Jones lands a knee. Bonnar misses with a high kick. Jones catches another high kick. Bonnar tries a spinning back kick of his own. Jones lands some knees in the clinch. Jones flips Bonnar to the ground, picks him up, and suplexes him. Bonnar stands up and eats a spinning back fist that drops him. Jones pounces on him and lands some hammer fists before they stand again. Jones rocks Bonnar with a knee. Jones takes Bonnar down just before the end of the round. MMA on Tap scores the round 10-9 Jones.

Round 2: Jones lands a front kick to start the second round. They exchange body kicks. Jones lands a side kick to the body. Bonnar misses with a right and Jones trips Bonnar to the mat. They stand with Jones on Bonnar’s back. Jones takes him down and then throws a knee as Bonnar tries to stand. Jones lands a right hand while Bonnar attempts a body kick and then scores a takedown. Bonnar is eventually able to get back to his feet. Jones lands another knee as Bonnar stands. Jones lands a body kick and Bonnar connects with a right. They clinch against the cage and Jones lands a body kick as they separate. They clinch again and Bonnar lands a knee to the body. They each land some short shots via dirty boxing. Bonnar goes for a takedown but Jones flips him on his head just before they hit the mat. They stand again and Jones fails on an attempted trip as time expires. Round 3: Bonnar stalks Jones to start the final round. They exchange push kicks. Bonnar lands some short shots in the clinch. Bonnar lands an uppercut. They exchange right hands. Bonnar lands another. Jones looks exhausted. They exchange short elbows. Jones lands a knee to the body in the clinch. Bonnar clips Jones with a right. Bonnar tries to trip Jones to the mat but Jones reverses and puts Bonnar on his back. Bonnar postures up for a triangle but Jones gets out of it and lands in side control. Jones lands a knee to the body before they stand. Bonnar throws a short right and clinches with Jones. They separate. Bonnar chases Jones around the cage for the final thirty seconds but is unable to finish the fight. MMA on Tap scores the round 10-9 Bonnar but the fight 29-28 for Jones. Lyoto Machida vs. Thiago Silva

Round 1: Both fighters measure each other up to start the fight. Machida tries a high kick. They go back and forth with neither being able to land a strike. They clinch and Machida lands a knee to the groin of Silva. Referee Yves Lavigne calls time to allow Silva to recover. The fight restarts and Machida scores a takedown. They stand and Machida lands a knee and drops Silva with a left hand. Machida jumps on top of him. Machida opts to stand and the two exchange kicks to each other’s legs before Machida jumps back into Silva’s guard. Machida gets up and allows Silva to stand. Machida drops Silva again with a right hand. Machida pounces on him and lands in side control. Machida mounts him before Silva bucks him off. They stand and clinch. They exchange shots in tight before Machida throws Silva to the ground. Machida dives down and blasts Silva with a right hand. He lands another as the horn sounds and Silva is completely out. Lavigne waves off the bout and Machida stays undefeated.

Georges St. Pierre vs. B.J. Penn

Round 1: Both fighters clinch right away to start the bout. They exchange knees in tight. GSP muscles BJ against the fence. GSP tries for a takedown but BJ defends well. Referee Herb Dean tells GSP not to grab the shorts and BJ yells out to Dean that he is. GSP works for another takedown and BJ lands a short right. BJ defends and they separate. GSP pumps two jabs. Both miss with rights. GSP presses BJ against the fence again. Penn lands a combination. GSP connects with a right and a jab. GSP with another jab that lands. GSP lands a leg kick. They exchange until the end of the round. MMA on Tap scores the round 10-9 St. Pierre.

Round 2: BJ lands a jab to start things off. GSP eats a left hand while chasing BJ. GSP presses BJ against the cage and scores his first takedown. BJ pulls guard. GSP lands a hard elbow. GSP lands two punches to the body and an elbow to the face. GSP passes to side control and starts lands continous short punches to BJ’s face. BJ tries to get out of the position and GSP continues to control him and land short shots. BJ gets back in guard and GSP continues to land hard punches. GSP passes BJ’s guard again and lands in side control but BJ quickly pulls guard. BJ is cut underneath the right eye. Complete domination by GSP. MMA on Tap scores the round 10-9 St. Pierre.

Round 3: GSP lands a leg kick and a superman punch to start the third round. BJ is bleeding out of his nose. GSP snaps BJ’s head back with a jab. GSP scores his second takedown of the fight. GSP moves to side control but BJ defends well and gets back into guard. GSP throws short shots to the body. GSP lands some hammer fists just before BJ gets back to his feet. They clinch against the cage until GSP scores another takedown. GSP postures up and continually lands punches to the body and head. He controls BJ on the ground until the end of the round. MMA on Tap scores the round 10-9 St. Pierre.

Round 4: They exchange jabs to start the fourth round. GSP stuns BJ with a jab. GSP lands a body kick after that. BJ throws a lazy jab and GSP takes him down again. GSP quickly passes BJ’s guard and lands in side control onec again. GSP lands some short elbows. GSP lands continuous short punches and elbows to the face of BJ while referee Herb Dean looks on closely. GSP continues to pound on a defenseless BJ. Dean asks BJ to fight back. GSP continuing to punish BJ. GSP passes from guard to side control with ease. GSP pounds on BJ with punches from all angles until the horn ends to end the round. The ringside doctor visits BJ in his corner in between rounds and both the doctor and Penn’s corner agree that the fight should be stopped. GSP remains the welterweight champion.

Winner: Georges St. Pierre - TKO (Doctor’s Stoppage)
