The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the official list of fighter salaries stemming from UFC 84: Ill Will, which took place this past weekend at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The event featured current UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn successfully defend his title in a bad-blood filled showdown against former champion Sean Sherk. Penn stopped Sherk with strikes in the third round. Former PRIDE middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva knocked out fellow light heavyweight contender Keith Jardine just seconds into their co-main event bout.
Remember that this is only the base salary that a fighter received. Bonuses, deductions, and other undisclosed fees are not included.

dang, sherk got robbed… he doesn’t deserve that

ya wtf, how the hell is Jardine still making 10k per fight…that’s brutal!

That’s pretty messed up. Thaigo Silva made more than Sean Sherk, and Jardine… the pay speaks for itself. Sherk and Jardine’s pay blows my mind, did they tag team Dana’s girlfriend or something? Maybe Ortiz was on to something after all. I mean, even with Jardine it’s still 10k, which any of us would be happy with, but that’s ridiculous. Silva, who’d been on a massive losing streak… wow. I hope there are typos in this.

the only thing tito is on, has to be some med’s to prevent him contracting some std from his spudge rag of girlfriend or to keep it in remission.
bye bye tito, maybe in the minor leauge’s u can actually beat somebody under 40. good luck and keep dying your hair, it’s purdy.

What does that have to do with salaries?
It just hit me that Jardine is still under his TUF contract. But that still doesn’t account for Sherk unless there’s some obligation by the UFC to drastically reduce his pay over a negative drug test.

here’s what i’m thinking;
some fighters pay is greater for % of gate/pay per view vs fight salary while others are more heavy on fight salary and get payed no matter what the gate/pay per view. while some will take a fight for a small amount with a chance at a bigger bonus if they win, it’s a gamble by the fighter to make more but with a chance to get less if they lose. bonus’ are not added to fight salary, nor does any other payments.
and tito got way over payed, so what does he have to yapp about?? oh maybe the fact that he sucks and hasn’t beaten anybody in a long long time.

thats y some of them have to suck on dick 2 make extra money, us gay men will pay beeg bucks 4 a bj from bj hahahahaa

can anyone beleive that someone got paid 3k to fight in the UFC? That’s just rediculous.
Agree with everone that Jardine’s salary is also laughable. Vanderlei is Fing back by the way. These guys should defect to elitxc whilst there still on CBS and gettig huge ratings.

Not sure about that, mike. Their debut show didn’t leave me very impressed with them at all. The more the merrier in MMA, sure, but EliteXC just doesn’t sit right with me now. If Affliction picks up more steam though, that would be another story.

Who the heck negotiated Keith Jardine’s contract?
