— The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale averaged 2.5. million viewers this past Saturday night, the last "TUF" finale that will air on Spike TV before the reality series shifts over to FX in 2012. The event also earned a household rating of 1.7, as well as ratings of 2.4 and 2.9 in the male 18-49 and 18-34 demographics, making it the highest-rated program on ad-supported cable in that age range. — With T.J. Grant sidelined due to injury, "TUF" season eight lightweight Efrain Escudero will return to the UFC to take on Jacob Volkmann in at UFC 141 on December at the 30 MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Escudero was abruptly released from the UFC after posting a 2-2 record, becoming only the second "TUF" winner to be released at the time. Since then, he has won five of six in regional promotions. — Featherweights George Roop and Cub Swanson have agreed to meet on the undercard of UFC on FOX 2, which will take place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on January 28. Roop enters the bout coming off of a controversial decision loss to Japanese standout Hatsu Hioki at UFC 137 in October. Meanwhile, Swanson fell to Ricardo Lamas via second-round submission at the inaugural UFC on Fox show last month. [UFC.com]
— The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the full list of medical suspensions following last weekend's "Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale", which saw Michael Bisping defeat fellow coach Jason "Mayhem" Miller with strikes in the third round. Miller leads the suspensions, potentially being sidelined for six months after suffering a broken nose during his main event bout. Diego Brandao, Bryan Caraway and Louis Gaudinot are among others that could have long layoffs. [MMAJunkie.com]
