The Fight Network is reporting that Syd Barnier has pulled out of his featherweight bout with Mark Fraser after it was announced that Barnier broke his shin during training. Eric Leclerc, who was scheduled to face Adrian Wooley, is stepping up to face Mark Fraser. Stephane Patry stated that he is currently in the process of finding a suitable opponent for Adrian Wooley.
“I’m looking for a replacement for Adrian Wooley,” Patry said. “Other than that, everything else stays the same.”
Patry also announced that he is still searching for an opponent for Stephane Dube who was originally scheduled to face Chris Clements but the fight was scrapped after Clements suffered a knee injury while training.
“The only thing that really sucks is that Clements and Dube won’t be fighting,” Patry said. “That’s the fight everyone wanted to see. This is MMA, though. It’s the only sport where training is harder than the fights. I don’t know who Dube’s going to fight yet. I’m working on a few different names.”
