Thiago Alves Tests Positive for Diuretic

Sherdog.com is reporting that Thiago “Pitbull” Alves tested positive for a banned substance after his victory over Tony De Souza at UFC 66: Liddell vs. Ortiz II. Alves’ post-fight drug test showed trace amounts of spironolactone, a diuretic which could be used to cut weight and mask steroids.
