Zack Selwyn of G4’s Attack of the Show sets out to discover the softer side of current UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the above video from Hulu. Jackson discusses the story behind his nickname, his win over Chuck Liddell last May, how he is the only current mixed martial artist with their own shoe deal, and his love for video games among other things.

I have to agree in that Arlovski’s decision to leave the UFC was fairly strange. He was a good fit inside the organization and had a decent level of star power. He was making good money and would have gotten an automatic raise after going on a three-fight winning streak just before his departure. There are a few high-profile matchups out there for him (Fedor, Barnett, Rothwell, Cro Cop) but the well runs dry rather quickly after that quartet. He also would have swiftly solved the number-one contender debate in the UFC’s heavyweight division as he’d be the automatic pick.

Awesome post. Anyone who was a fan of Rampage b4 knows what an awesome guy he is. The behind the scenes interviews when he was in Pride, you always saw his bigger than life personality come through. I remem seeing that too how he liked Rampage. That was my fave game as a kid too.
I can’t wait to see him fight Wanderlei again too! Both are tremendous athletes and it would be one of the biggest matches to date.
Can’t believe UFC lost Andrei Arlovski. He’s fighting “Big” Ben Rothwell!?
Come on!
He should be fighting the likes of Minotauro Nogueira and other gr8s. A match against Mir! So many potential fights, and he’s stuck fighting lower level talent from IFL.
