— Bellator season four featherweight tourney winner Patricio "Pitbull" Friere will reportedly challenge Joe Warren for Bellator's featherweight title in rematch on July 23 at Bellator 47. Friere knocked off Georgi Karakhanyan, Wilson Reis and Daniel Straus to earn another shot at Warren, who earned a tight split decision over Friere in their originial meeting in June of last year. — Chad Mendes has agreed to put his top contender status on the line and face slick submission specialist Rani Yahya in a featherweight bout at UFC 133 on August 6. Mendes, who has started a perfect 10-0 as a pro, has won five straight fights under the WEC and UFC banner. Meanwhile his opponent, Yahya, is coming off of an unanimous decision win over former WEC featherweight champion Mike Thomas Brown in January. [UFC.com]

— A pair of bouts have been added to the lineup for UFC on Versus 5 in August as Jared Hamman will drop down to the middleweight division to take on "Ultimate Fighter" alumnus C.B. Dollaway and world-ranked bantamweight Joseph Benavidez will continue another climb up the divisional ladder against former WEC champion Eddie Wineland. [UFC.com]

— Bellator Fighting Championships reportedly scored the second-highest ratings hit of season four as MTV 2 officials have confirmed that Bellator 45, which featured the finals of the promotion's latest light heavyweight and featherweight tournaments this past weekend, earning an average audience of 264,000 viewers and a peak of 360,000 viewers as well. — Rising Brazilian prospects Douglas Lima and Luis "Sapo" Santos will reportedly both be part of the field for Bellator's season five welterweight tournament, set to kick off this fall. After a solid run in regional shows, Lima made a name for himself under the Maximum Fighting Championship banner over the last year, winning the promotion's welterweight belt as well as knocking off highly-regarded prospect Ryan Ford and UFC veteran Terry Martin. Santos, a longtime veteran of the Brazilian fighting circuit, was victorious in his Bellator debut, winning a decision over Nicolae Cury this past weekend. [Sherdog.com]

—Edge Shaving Gel has reportedly signed on to become the latest sponsor of the UFC per the Sports Business Journal on Tuesday. The sponsorship deal begins this July and will also include endorsements for up to five UFC fighters. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. [MMA Payout]
