— Dave Meltzer and his Wrestling Observer Newsletter has released an estimate of pay-per-view buys for last weekend's UFC 141 event, which was headlined by Alistair Overeem sending Brock Lesnar into retirement with a first-round TKO win. According to Meltzer, the official number of buys hovers somewhere in between the 750,000 and 810,000 mark, which is good news for the UFC since it has been a down year in sales. Meltzer also added that if the event took place on New Year's Eve, buys could have exceeded one million. [Bloody Elbow via F4W]
