— Following his shocking loss to Antonio Silva, Fedor Emelianenko has been medically suspended indefinitely by the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board. He will not be permitted to compete until he's cleared by a doctor after an upcoming CT scan of his head and face. However, he did not suffer a broken orbital bone as widely speculated. Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski will also be sidelined for a mandatory 30 days following his KO loss to Sergei Kharitonov. [MMAJunkie.com]

— A featherweight bout between one-time planned title contender Josh Grispi and "TUF" alumnus George Roop has been booked for the TUF 13 Finale in Las Vegas on June 4. Grispi had a ten-fight winning streak snapped by Dustin Porier at UFC 125 on Jan 1, while Roop suffered a one-sided loss to Mark Hominick just days later at UFC Fight for the Troops II. [MMA Mania]

— All four pairings for Bellator's upcoming lightweight tournament have reportedly been set and are as follows: Rob McCullough vs. Patricky Friere, Carey Vanier vs. Lloyd Woodard, Michael Chandler vs. Marcin Held and Ferrid Kheder vs. Toby Imada. The fights are expected to take place at Bellator 36 on March 12. [Sherdog.com]

— Paul Kelly has reportedly been released from his UFC contract this past weekend. The 26-year-old posted a 5-4 record with the promotion. He most recently fell to Donald Cerrone via submission at UFC 126 on Feb 5. [Fighters Only Magazine]

— Former PRIDE figurehead Nobuyuki Sakakibara, who has been absent from the sport of MMA while running a Japanese soccer team, and a handful of officials from Sengoku and DREAM are rumored to be planning to hold a show in Japan this spring under a new promotional banner. [Nightmare of Battle]

Former IFL middleweight champion Matt Horwich will reportedly face fellow UFC veteran Danillo Villefort in a 185 lb contest at Shark Fights 14, which takes place on March 12 in Lubbock, TX. Horwich is coming off of a third-round TKO of standout wrestler Jake Rosholt in November while Villefort last fought at Shark Fights 13 in September, winning a three-round unanimous decision over Joey Villasenor.
