— Former longtime PRIDE middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva will return from an extended layoff due to knee surgery at UFC 130 in May, facing upstart striker and military veteran Brian Stann. Silva last defeated Michael Bisping via unanimous decision at UFC 110 last February while Stann scored an impressive stoppage of Chris Leben at UFC 125 last month. [UFC.com]

— Strikeforce will reportedly indeed hold the rest of the quarterfinals of their heavyweight grand prix tournament on April 10 in Japan. The organization will work with Real Entertainment and M-1 to hold the event. A fight card consisting of heavyweight and lightweight bouts is planned. [MMA-Japan.com]

— Bellator 115 lb women's champion Zoila Frausto will reportedly return to action at Bellator 35 on March 5 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, CA. A possible opponent is Karina Hallinan. Frausto upset previously undefeated and pound-for-pound female great Megumi Fuji via split decision in October to win the title. [Sherdog.com]

— A heavyweight bout between rising contender Stefan Struve and Travis Browne has been made official for UFC 130 on May 28 in Las Vegas. Struve has won two straight, recently stopping Sean McCorkle via strikes at UFC 124 in December. Browne drew with Cheick Kongo in his UFC debut this past October. [UFC.com]
