— HDNet today added the undercard of Strikeforce's "Fedor vs. Silva" event to their scheduled lineup for February 12. The event kicks off the organization's much-anticipated heavyweight grand prix tournament. Preliminary bouts shown by HDNet will feature Igor Gracie and Sam Oropeza among others. [MMA Junkie]
— A lightweight bout between "TUF 2" winner Joe Stevenson and WEC veteran Danny Castillo has been inked for UFC on Versus 3, which is slated for March 3 in Louisville, KY. It replaces a scheduled bout between Johny Hendricks and Paulo Thiago that was scrapped this week due to a Thiago injury. [MMA Mania]
— Bellator has reportedly signed Hawaiian veteran Falaniko Vitale to a multi-fight deal and will have debut during the organization's fourth season this spring. Vitale went 2-0 in 2010, submitting notable middleweights Kalib Starnes and Kala Hose under the X-1 banner. [Sherdog.com]
— Gegard Mousasi is targeting Strikeforce's planned April 9 event as the date for his next match with the promotion, which will likely come against Mike Kyle. Mousasi and Kyle were reportedly offered to meet in March, but Kyle needs more time to heal lingering injuries from his December loss to Antonio Silva. [MMA Fighting]
— Former UFC light heavyweight James Irvin has signed on with Gladiator Challenge, the same promotion in which the California native embarked on a professional career with. He will make his official return to the organization on Jan 29 against Mike Crisman. [Gladiator Challenge]
— The welterweight brackets for Bellator's upcoming season four tournament have been set and a pair of reported matchups have been revealed. UFC, IFL and Strikeforce vet Jay Hieron will apparently face Steve Carl and Jim Wallhead will take on undefeated Olympic judoka Rick Hawn. [MMA Weekly]
— Japanese flyweight ace Mamoru Yamaguchi has signed on as an injury replacement to face fellow ranked competitor John Dodson at Tachi Palace Fights 9 on May 5 in Lemoore, CA. Yamaguchi is riding a five-fight winning streak while Dodson has had his hand raised in four of his last five. [Sherdog.com]
