— King of the Cage lightweight champion Bobby Green has been tapped to replace Lyle Beerbohm against former K-1 Hero's standout Gesias Cavalcante on the undercard of Strikeforce's "Fedor vs. Henderson" event on July 30. The reasoning behind Beerbohm's departure from the contest is currently unknown. Green enters the bout fresh off of a unanimous decision win over Dom O'Grady in April. [Strikeforce]

— Heavy hitting striker Lavar Johnson has been forced out of this weekend's Strikeforce Challengers 17 show with an undisclosed injury. Taking his place in a heavyweight bout against IFL veteran Devin Cole will reportedly be former collegiate football player Shawn Jordan, who recently posted a 1-1 mark under the Bellator banner. — DEEP lightweight champion Katsunori Kikuno will reportedly defend his belt against former Sengoku lightweight title holder Mizuto Hirota at DEEP's "55th Impact" event on August 26 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Hirota announced the matchup on Wednesday via Twitter. Kikuno last defended his title in October, edging out Nobuhiro Obiya via split decision. Hirota has not competed since a vicious submission loss to Shinya Aoki at K-1 Dynamite!! 2009 that left him with a broken arm. [Sherdog]

— The UFC confirmed and announced over half a dozen bouts on Wednesday, including the following: Thiago Alves vs. Papy Abedi (UFC 138), Stipe Miocic vs. Joey Beltran (UFC 136), Anthony Njokuani vs. Paul Taylor (UFC 138), Cody McKenzie vs. Vagner Rocha (UFC Fight Night 25), Bart Palaszewski vs. Tyson Griffin (UFC 137), Terry Etim vs. Edward Faalooto (UFC 138), Tim Credeur vs. Brad Tavares (UFC 137) []
