Strikeforce has announced a pair of bouts for their next scheduled event on May 19th at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California as Billy Evangelista will take on James Terry in a lightweight scrap and Virgil Zwicker faces Guto Inocente in a battle of light heavyweight up-and-comers.
Both Evangelista and Terry will attempt to stave off being released from the Zuffa banner in their meeting. Evangelista has suffered back-to-back losses, the first two of his career, in his most recent fights, dropping decisions to Jorge Masvidal and K.J. Noons. Terry has dropped two of his last three, last losing a split nod to Nah-Shon Burrell in January.
Zwicker picked up a win in his Strikeforce debut last April, stopping Brett Albee with strikes in the first round. His opponent, Inocente, who trains alongside the Blackzilians at Imperial Athletics in Florida, has torn through the Brazilian 205 lb circuit, winning all five of his pro appearances.
