The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be travel to “The Windy City” for the first time in history during a scheduled visit to Chicago for UFC 90: Silva vs. Cote on October 25th at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

The organization officially announced the event earlier today. While no other bouts were confirmed, it’s expected that a previously rumored welterweight bout between title contenders Thiago Alves and Diego Sanchez will take place at the event as well. Local product Rory Markham will likely participate while Stephan Bonnar will not.

Silva picked up his seventh straight UFC win and remains undefeated inside the promotion following a devastating first-round knockout of James Irvin on July 19th. Meanwhile Cote is currently riding a five-fight winning streak. His latest win was a close split decision over grappling ace Ricardo Almeida at UFC 86 earlier this month.

Tickets for the show will go on sale to UFC Fight Club members on August 15th at 11 AM ET. UFC Newsletter subscribers will be able to buy tickets on August 17th and the remainder of tickets will go on sale to the general public the following day. Both previously mentioned sales start at 11 AM ET.

I was really hoping this would make 89 considering how quickly it will be over.

Couldn’t ask for a better main event.  John do you know how much tickets are going for?

The press release that the UFC sent out said that tickets were starting out at $50, so I’m assuming that’s the lowest amount they are going for. My advice is that if you haven’t already signed up for the UFC newsletter, you do so before August 17th, unless you are willing to spend the money to join the UFC Fight Club.

I’m suprising my boyfriend with these tickets. I have to get them. I already joined the newsletter club, but I notice that the Fight club members get first dibs. Do you think that they will be sold out after the fight club memebers get them. If so, how do you sign up for the Fight Club and how much does it cost? Please help me!! Thanks!

You can sign up for the Fight Club below:

However it does cost $75 bucks. I highly doubt that they’ll all be sold out after the Fight Club pre-sale. You should be good.

I’ve been getting the newsletter for a couple of years now. I have checked tickets available after the fight club users buy theirs. Every fight that I checked on there were ALWAYS great seats available. I’m going to take my chances and save $75.00 on membership.
