Shamrock Bad Blood Boiling

Even though the word on the street is that Frank Shamrock is no longer really that interested in fighting his brother Ken after his recent loss to Robert “Buzz” Berry earlier this month, he sure doesn’t mind continuing the trash-talking that would likely make the months leading up to a potential showdown extremely entertaining.

In a recent interview with MMA Madness, Shamrock comments on a number of things concerning his adoptive older brother, including why Ken is so bitter towards him, how he is a much better fighter than teacher, and why he’s a much skilled fighter than the former professional wrestler.

Oh, and he says that Ken did steroids too…

MMA Madness:  You say that you’ve seen guys take steroids. Could you maybe give us any names?

Shamrock: Sure, my brother Ken did them his whole life.

MMA Madness: Really?

Shamrock: Yeah. Why do you think that his mind is so fried? Why do you think he crumbles before the big fights? He’s got no psyche. He let steroids give him a false sense of security and the moment that stuff is gone he’s no longer superman. He’s just a regular man. But without all the hard work and without all the belief in himself that a regular man would have if he got up to that point. He’s the only guy that I’ll tell on, because he’s always in trouble anyway.

When it comes to Ken Shamrock and steroids, I’m not going to say if or if he didn’t do them. I’ll let opinions form on their own. All I will say is that he’s definitely had plenty of chances to use them, both in MMA and pro wrestling, and that he’s constantly been in phenomenal shape throughout his career, hard work or not.

It’s one thing to try and sell a fight, but it’s another when you make a side comment that could eventually start to hurt someone else’s legacy if it happened to pick up enough steam. I guess it just goes to show that Frank is willing to just about everything to promote himself and his ventures, even if it means throwing his own brother under the bus.

Touch of gloves to Five Ounces of Pain for the find.

Ken Shamrock obviously did steroids. Look at all his past & present fights. His conditioning and strength has deteriorated beyond normal standards.
As a basis of comparison let’s look at Randy Couture. He is super old but looks better now then he did when he was younger.

Your saying Frank is promoting himself and using his brother to do it.

Your just giving your opinion…fine.
Mine is this:

Anytime i’ve heard Ken talk he sounds like
he can’t put sentences together. Frank sounds like he still has some brains left.

I noticed your description after clicking on your name.

Your 20 years old and enjoy walks on a beach?

Wow….you might want to think about re-phrasing that in your description. This isn’t a dating blog dude. This is MMA.

Why don’t you put in something relevant like where does your MMA knowledge come from. Do you actually practice a particular style of fighting?
Dude, something other then i enjoy walks on the beach.

He’s obviously being facetious.  And he’s barely giving an opinion, he’s just laying out the info.

If you didn’t notice, I was pretty much beating around the bush when it came to whether or not Ken actually did steroids. I don’t know whether he did or not. Very few people do. I’m not one to stir the pot.

Are there some pretty obvious signs pointing to a strong possibility that he did? Yes. Did Shamrock have feasible chances to do steroids? Absolutely. You can try and draw your conclusions from that.

I absolutely believe that Frank is using those comments to help put his name out there. That’s a pretty bold statement that he made. With a big fight for him coming up, it’s only going to help give him even more exposure.

As far as my profile goes, the long walks on the beach comment is nothing more than a joke. My knowledge of mixed martial arts comes from close to eight years of following the sport. I did boxing for three years and have currently been doing jiu-jitsu for the past year and a half and Muay Thai for ten months.
