We will be going live with results of Sengoku 9, which takes place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
The card will be headlined by a lightweight title bout between Satoru Kitaoka and Mizuto Hirota. Also on the card is the featherweight tournament semifinals featuring Michihiro Omigawa vs. Marlon Sandro and Hatsu Hioki vs. Takeshi Numajiri.

I joined late but I’m going to provide detailed results for the remaining four bouts including the Featherweight Grand Prix finals.
Kazuyuki Fujita vs. Blagoi Ivanov
Round 1: The bout begins with a glove touch. Both fighters spend the first few seconds feeling out the distance before exchanging a few glancing blows. Ivanov moves in with some strikes but every time Fujita ducks his head and answers. Good punches from Fujita. Ivanov circling as Fujita moves forward. Ivanov beings unleashing a barrage of punches that has Fujita rocked. Fujita tries answering but he continues to eat blows, Ivanov continues with the assault and lands a hard punch that drops Fujita to the canvas. Fujita scrambles and grabs a leg. Eventually Fujita is able to secure the takedown and gain top control. Working to escape from the half guard, Fujita throws the odd shot while Ivanov holds on tight. Ivanov scramble and regains full guard. Fujita stands, passes and gets north south. Before Fujita can do anything Ivanov scrambles and gets back to his feet. While standing in the corner, Fujita lands a four punch combo followed by the round coming to an end.
Round 2: Glove touch to start the second. Body shot early from Fujita. Straight right from Fujita. Again they move towards the corner of the ring and Ivanov flurries with wild hooks. He ends up slipping and Fujita gains top position. Ivanov lays on his back as Fujita stands over him. Moments later the referee stands Ivanov up. Two lefts from Fujita answered by Ivanov. Ivanov looks be slowing down a great deal. Overhand right from Fujita misses. Straight left from Ivanov lands. Left uppercut from Ivanov answered by a right from Fujita. Right hand from Ivanov. The action has slowed considerably. Right from Fujita as he continues to stalk Ivanov. They clinch in the corner and Ivanov separates with some wild hooks that miss. Left jabs from Fujita followed by a clinch along the ropes. Fujita gets in a few short shots against the ropes. Ivanov answers with some wild shots as they finally begin to exchange. More short uppercuts from Fujita as they end the round clinching along the ropes.
Round 3: Both fighters start the final round with their respective jabs. Fujita shoots in for a double as they get pinned against the ropes. He is unable to secure the takedown as the ref separates them. As the bout restarts Ivanov throws a left and again Fujita shoots. Ivanov stuffs it and then throws a hard kick. Combo from Ivanov misses. Ivanov follows it up with a body kick. Left from Ivanov misses. Good body kick from Ivanov as Fujita continues to move forward. Right jab from Ivanov as Fujita lunges in with two rights. Straight left from Ivanov. One, two from Ivanov misses as Fujita shoots and puts Ivanov on his back. The ref pauses the action to restart them away from the ropes. Fujita attempts to work from half guard a he tries locking up an arm triangle. Very little action as Fujita tries passing. Fight comes to an end with Fujita in half guard.
Winner: Blagoi Ivanov - Decision
Kazuo Misaki vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura
Round 1: Leg kick from Nakamura. Misaki answers with a leg ick. Both fighters miss rights. Leg kick from Nakamura. Right hand from Nakamura answered by a good knee from Misaki. Leg kick from Nakamura caught by Misaki as he fires back with a hard left. Right hand from Nakamura. Good knee from Misaki as Nakamura answers with a right. Accidental low blow by Nakamura as the fight is momentarily stopped. The fight restarts with both fighters exchanging jabs. Both guys get in good right and then momentarily clinch. Another accidental low blow from Nakamura. Two rights from Misaki follow by a good knee. Nakamura moves forward and Misaki lands a devastating flying knee. Nakamura quickly regains himself as they scramble on the canvas. Nakamura puts Misaki on his back but he latches on a guillotine which spells an end to the fight.
Kazuo Misaki - Submission (Guillotine Choke)
Masanori Kanehara vs. Michihiro Omigawa
Round 1: The bout begins with a glove touch. Kanehara comes foward with a 1,2 combo including a leg kick. Omigawa slips and Kanehara pounces jumping onto Omigawa’s back. Omigawa stands trying to get Kanehara off but Kanehara locks in a body triangle and fires away shots from back position. Kanehara throws 10-11 short lefts to the head of Omigawa as he works from his back standing. Kanehara momentarily gives up his body triangle as he pulls Omigawa to the canvas before regaining back control. More punches from Kanehara. They stand again before there is a throw and then Omigawa gets Kanehara off his back. Kanehara works from top position as Omigawa gains full guard. Kanehara passes but as he does Omigawa attempts a guillotine choke. Another guillotine attempt by Omigawa as Kanehara again moves to half guard. Omigawa quickly regains full guard. Omigawa pushes Kanehara off with an upkick but Kanehara scrambles and regains top position. Omigawa locks in a modified armbar as the round ends.
Round 2: The second round starts with a flurry as both fighters exchange a barrage of both punches and kicks. Kanehara slips allowing Omigawa to gain north-south position. From north-south, Omigawa lands knees to the head of Kanehara. Kanehara is able to reverse the position and gain top control. He is then able to step over and turn the tides as he begins to land knees to the head of Omigawa. Omigawa attempts to shake Kanehara off. Omigawa is able to regain guard and as he does he attempts a guillotine choke but Kanehara is able to escape. Kanehara then begins working for an arm-triangle but to no avail. The round ends with Omigawa scrambling and returning to his feet.
Round 3: Both fighters start the third with a bang as they come out throwing hard punches and kicks. Both guys are answering each other’s moves but Kanehara is a little more flashy as he sneaks in a few high kicks. Kanehara attempts to take the fight to the canvas but as he does Omigawa looks to lock up a guillotine choke. Kanehara eventually is able to escape. Kanehara mounts an offense from the top throwing hammerfists and punches but Omigawa weathers the storm and gains top position. From top position Omigawa begins attacking with punches and hammerfists as Kanehara covers up. Omigawa gains the mount and begins to rain down a flurry of punches as Kanehara frantically tries to buck him off. The bout ends with Omigawa dominating the action.

Satoru Kitaoka vs. Mizuto Hirota
Round 1: Kitaoka shoots in immediately and puts Hirota on his back. Kitaoka almost gains the mount during a scramble but they end up returning to the feet. Kitaoka is relentless with the takedown again putting Hirota on his back against the ropes. Working from half guard, Kitaoka throws a few short rights. Hirota tries standing and Kitaoka pounces as he tries latching on a guillotine, Hirota’s neck is bent at a weird angle but he is able to escape. The fighters are separated and restarted standing. Kitaoka throws a wild left and then shoots in. Hirota stuffs the first attempt but Kitaoka follows it up with a slam. From top position Kitaoka fires down a few rights before attempt to pass. Hirota scrambles and as he does Kitaoka goes for a guillotine. Hirota fights through it and returns to his feet. Left high kick from Kitaoka. Hirota gets in a good punch followed by a hard 1-2 combo. Head kick from Hirota as they then clinch. Hirota secures the takedown and gains side control.
Round 2: Both fighters start the second with punches that miss. Kitaoka throws a leg kick followed by an uppercut that misses. Straight right from Hirota answered by a body kick from Kitaoka. Weak shot by Kitaoka stuffed. Good straight right from Hirota. Hard left from Kitaoka. Right from Kitaoka answered by a shot from Hirota. Kitaoka stuffs the takedown and then they clinch. Kitaoka pulls guard and seconds land Hirota stands and backs away. Spinning backfist from Kitaoka misses. Kitaoka attempts to shoot but again Hirota stuffs it. Good 1, 2 from Hirota answered by a shot from Kitaoka. Hirota again stuffs the attempt. Hirota beginning to work the left jab. Right from Hirota answered by a knee from Kitaoka. They clinch along the ropes. Low kick from Hirota. Wild punches from Kitaoka miss. Straight right from Hirota. Hirota attempts a flying knee. Kitaoka shoots as the round ends.
Round 3: High kick from Kitaoka blocked. Good straight right from Kitaoka. Hirota throwing faints as Kitaoka shoots in and secures a takedown. Kitaoka passes to half guard. Short hammerfists from Kitaoka. Hirota regains full guard. Kitaoka attempts lefts from the top but many miss or are blocked. Kitaoka postures up and lands a stomp to the face. Kitaoka postures up before laying back into Hirota’s guard. The action has slowed. The ref stands the fight up and issues a yellow card. Straight right from Hirota followed by a high kick. Good left from Hirota. Hirota beginning to tee off on Kitaoka but he shoots seconds later.
Round 4: The fourth starts with a shot by Kitaoka that is stuffed. Hirota lands two good punches and again Kitaoka shoots and fails. They stand up and again Kitaoka dives in for a takedown. Hirota stuffs it and ends up landing in top position. Hammerfists from Hirota. Hirota backs out of Kitaoka’s guard and calls for him to stand. Kitaoka shoots and Hirota stuffs it. As he does he lands four hard knees to the head. He then passes Kitaoka’s guard and lands some more hard knees. They stand again and Kitaoka again shoots, Hirota stuffs it and lands a barrage of knees. Kitaoka gives up back position and Hirota lands hammerfists. They stand and Hirota lands a flurry, again Kitaoka shoots but he meets Hirota’s knees. Hirota attacking with punches now as the ref jumps in.
Winner: Mizuto Hirota - TKO (Strikes)
