Once again, heavyweight contender Heath Herring discusses his upcoming bout against former professional wrestler turned mixed martial artist Brock Lesnar at UFC 87: Seek and Destroy on August 9th in the above video courtesy of Raw Vegas. Herring touches on a number of things including his training regimen and a potential rematch with Fedor Emelianenko down the road. His coaches also talk about what they’ve found while watching tape on Lesnar as well.

I haven’t even looked at the lines yet. Herring is an underdog going into this fight? That’s a travesty.

Herring came into the UFC with a ton of hype. I want to see both of these guys do well, but if someone looks bad in this fight, it’s going to hurt his career more than a normal loss IMO.

good point - this is do or die for both fighters - Herring has a ton of potential to do well, it’s just that he’s lazy and likes to party and booze it up a little too much - he’s a very talented/athletic heavyweight, if only he had the drive and determination to improve his ground game and work on his stamina - hopefully things have changed…
Lesnar I’m sure has improved but Herring is a tough test, if Herring can get back to his feet or survive the initial bulldozing from Lesnar then it will be interesting to see what Lesnar’s stamina is like…
Either way, I should have placed a bet on Herring when he was 2.2:1 underdog

I don’t see how Heath is a 2.1: underdog, actually the lines have moved a bit, he is now sitting at 1.9:1, still a good bet as I think he has a chance to beat Lesnar or Lesnar my lay and pray the entire fight
