A welterweight bout between British fighters Paul Taylor and John Hathaway and a light heavyweight matchup between UFC newcomers Jared Hamman and Alexander Gustafsson are both reportedly likely to take place at UFC 105 on November 14 in Manchester, England.
The news comes from Fighters Only Magazine, citing sources close to the event. A main event for UFC 105 has yet to be confirmed, but will eventually join Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang and Dan Hardy vs. Dong-Hyun Kim on the event’s televised main card.
Taylor has put together an even 3-3 record during his time with the UFC. He last earned a unanimous decision over Peter Sobotta at UFC 99 in June. Hathaway was also victorious at the same event, winning a three-round decision over Ricky Story to maintain an eleven-fight winning streak to start his pro career.
Hamman enters the UFC after spending a short stint in the now-defunct EliteXC promotion, where he split a pair of fights against Hawaiian slugger Poai Suganuma. Gustaffsson has won all eight of his professional bouts to date with only one going the distance.
