Ken Shamrock’s return to action will be welcomed by opponent Robert “Buzz” Berry at Cage Rage 25: Bring It On on Saturday, March 8th at the Wembley Arena in London, England.
The Fight Network’s Brian Knapp confirmed the match-up with Shamrock’s manager, Rod Donahoo earlier today.
Shamrock and his 19-year-old son, Ryan came to terms on multi-fight deals with Elite Xtreme Combat earlier this week. The younger Shamrock is also slated to be fighting on the card against an opponent yet to be named.
Despite currently riding a four-fight losing streak, the 43-year-old Shamrock remains one of the most recognized and popular stars in mixed martial arts today. Shamrock was inducted into the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s hall of fame along with rival Royce Gracie at UFC 45: Revolution in November of 2003.
Berry sports a professional MMA record of 11-7. The majority of the English native’s fights have stayed on the feet: 13 of his 18 total fights have ended by knockout or technical knockout. All but one of Berry’s fights have ended in the first round. Berry has never gone the distance in his career.
