Former UFC Lightweight Champion Jens Pulver will most likely make his WEC debut against Cub Swanson at the WEC’s event on September 5th according to The Fight Network via Tagg Radio.
Swanson apparently signed the contract on Sunday to make the fight official.
“I was given a choice to fight Pulver or Mark Hominick and I chose the first,” says Swanson. “If I train hard and stick to my game plan, I can win this.”
Swanson has won both of his fights in the WEC so far. He submitted Tommy Lee with a rear naked choke at WEC 26 and followed that up with a unanimous decision over Micah Miller at WEC 28.
Pulver announced that he intended to drop down to 145 lbs after his recent loss to BJ Penn at The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale.
