A welterweight bout between skilled grapplers Dustin Hazelett and Tamdan McCrory will likely take place at UFC 91 on November 15 in Las Vegas according to a report from Sherdog.com.
McCrory has confirmed that the two have verbally agreed to fight and bout agreements are expected to be signed and returned at some point this week. No word as of yet concerning the possibility of the main being featured on UFC 91’s televised main card.
After being submitted in his UFC debut against Tony DeSouza, Hazelett went on to win three straight bouts before losing to standout wrestler Josh Koscheck at UFC 82 in March. Hazelett recently submitted one-time “Ultimate Fighter” cast member Josh Burkman at The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale in June.
McCrory surprised many as he quickly submitted former UFC welterweight title contender Pete Spratt in his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 10 in June of last year. Following his loss to Akihiro Gono at UFC 78, McCrory bounced back to win a unanimous decision over Luke Cummo at UFC 87 on August 9.
