Report: Marquardt Not Signed to New UFC Deal

Brian Knapp of The Fight Network is reporting that despite published reports, UFC middleweight contender Nate Marquardt has not signed a new deal with the promotion.

“We’re working on [a new contract],” Marquardt said. “Hopefully, it will happen soon.”

Marquardt and his management team are still in talks with the UFC and are confident that a deal will most likely be reached in the next few weeks.

Marquardt also stated that rumors of a fight against Thales Leites in February are nothing more than “talk amongst fans”.
