Troy Mandaloniz, a cast member on the sixth season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show, will return to the UFC after a one-year hiatus to take on England native Paul Kelly in his home country at UFC 95, which will take place on February 21 in London.
According to MMA Weekly, Mandaloniz is expected to sign his bout agreement to face Kelly at some point today and Kelly will likely sign his paperwork in the coming days as well. Mandaloniz will be moving up to 170 lbs. from the lightweight division for the fight, which will probably take place as a dark match on UFC 95’s undercard.
Mandaloniz was last seen in action at The Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale in December of last year, where he scored a first-round TKO of Richie Hightower. Prior to his appearance on the show, Mandaloniz went 2-1 as a professional, competing and winning twice in Mexico’s Total Combat promotion.
Kelly meanwhile, recently fell to former professional boxer Marcus Davis via submission at UFC 89 on October 18. The Wolfslair Academy product, who currently trains alongside the likes of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Michael Bisping, was victorious in his UFC debut back in January, winning an unanimous decision over Paul Taylor.
