A heavyweight bout between undefeated heavyweight prospect Dave Herman and longtime veteran Ron Waterman will likely take place at Elite Xtreme Combat’s scheduled June 14th show in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The news comes from our friends at MMA Junkie, who informed of the potential bout by a source close to Herman.
Herman, who has won his first ten fights to start off his professional career, made his EliteXC debut in February at “Street Certified”, where he stopped American Top Team member Mario Rinaldi with strikes in the third round of their preliminary bout at the show.
Waterman, a veteran of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and PRIDE, is currently riding a two-fight winning streak. Waterman last submitted Hawaiian Analu Brash at an X-1 event in January.
The event in June is slated to be headlined by an EliteXC lightweight title bout between champion K.J. Noons and Yves Edwards. An additional lightweight fight between Nick Diaz and Muhsin Corbbrey has also been signed.
