Report: Guida vs Huerta at The Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale

MMA on Tap has learned that the UFC is currently in negotiations with Clay Guida and Roger Huerta for a possible showdown in December at The Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale.

Clay Guida is a versatile veteran who sports a mixed martial arts record of 22-8-0 and a UFC record of 2-2. Guida is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over PRIDE veteran Marcus Aurelio.

Roger “El Matador” Huerta sports a MMA record of 19-1-1 and a UFC record of 5-0. Huerta holds victories over the likes of Leonard Garcia, Alberto Crane, Doug Evans, John Halverson, and Jason Dent. Huerta’s sole professional loss came to the hands of IFL veteran Ryan Schultz at SuperBrawl 36 in 2004.

Look&#8217s like the SI/UFC poster boy is going into another set up fight and when i say &#8221 set up &#8221 i mean they are continously putting him up against fighters that are at best mediocre. He doesnt even look impressive against these sub par opponents that he fights. The UFC is just building this guy up because hes clean cut and doesnt look like the stereo typical fighter with a mohawk and goatee. He attracts a different type of crowd and that is what makes him marketable and unfortunatly for him that wont help him out any when he is in there with a real fighter, if that ever happens.

Guida vs anyone is exciting. I think this is a good matchup. Luckily the SI cover-boy is in the fight so it will actually be on the main card.

I&#8217d put that fight at 50-50&#8230 Tough call.
