International veteran David Baron has been forced to withdrawal from his upcoming lightweight bout against Per Eklund at UFC 95 later this month due to an undisclosed injury suffered during a recent training session.
Undefeated prospect Evan Dunham has been tapped to replace Baron on the card according to Five Ounces of Pain. Dunham has won all seven of his professional bouts to date. He was last seen at Palace Fighting Championships’ “High Stakes” event on January 12, where he scored a late submission win over Dustin Akbari.
Eklund has split both of his UFC bouts so far. The native of Sweden dropped a unanimous decision to Canadian striker Sam Stout in his UFC debut at UFC 80 last January, but bounced back to submit Samy Schiavo at UFC 89 in October.
