WEC Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit will return to action and defend his title at a potential WEC event in February according to a report by MMA Weekly.
A date and time for the show is not set in stone.
Condit won the WEC Welterweight Title when he submitted John Alessio with a rear naked choke in the second round of their fight at WEC 26 in March. Condit’s toughest test in the WEC to date came against number one contender Brock Larson at WEC 29 in August. Condit passed that test with flying colors and quickly submitted Larson with armbar only a couple of minutes into the first round.
Update 7:30 PM: Sam Caplan of Five Ounces of Pain is reporting that WEC officials are finalizing an agreement that would have Condit defend his title against Carlo Prater at the event.
