The UFC has added some more depth to their heavyweight division in the form of undefeated Ring of Fire veteran Shane Carwin, who reportedly recently signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.

Not only has Carwin not yet lost in his professional career, he’s stopped all of his opponents. Carwin’s most recent win was a TKO victory over former UFC heavyweight Sherman Pendergarst at ROF 31: Undisputed last month. The Denver, Colorado native brings a well-rounded game to the table and is sure to be a fresh addition to a division that has lost it’s luster ever since champion Randy Couture resigned this past fall.
Signing with the UFC is a dream come true according to Carwin.
“I believe the UFC is the NFL of mixed martial arts and I am extremely excited to fight for them,” Carwin said in the report. “(It’s) a real dream come true.”
