MMAFrenzy.com is reporting that middleweight contenders Michael Bisping and Wanderlei Silva will clash at UFC 105 which is scheduled for November 14 in Manchester, England.
Silva, former PRIDE middleweight champion, has gone 1-4 since re-joining the UFC ranks in 2007. Silva’s sole victory came over Keith Jardine while he’s dropped exciting decisions to Chuck Liddell and Rich Franklin.
Bisping, The Ultimate Fighter 3 winner, owns a UFC record of 7-2. Since dropping to middleweight, Bisping has reeled off victories over Charles McCarthy, Jason Day, and Chris Leben. Bisping’s most recent outing came at UFC 100 where he was viciously knocked out by Dan Henderson.
Following the bout, Bisping said he wanted to get right back in there with top tier competition and it looks like he’s holding true to his word. The bout will be Silva’s first at middleweight after a lengthy stint at 205 lbs. The card, which will air free on SpikeTV, is also expected to feature The Ultimate Fighter 9 winners James Wilks and Ross Pearson.
