Here are your quick hits for the evening of April 7, 2009.
— Tickets for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s historic 100th event will go on sale this Thursday to UFC Fight Club members. Remaining tickets will then be sold through a newsletter pre-sale on Friday morning and then to the general public on Saturday. Ticket sales will begin at 10 AM PT on all three days. Both Brock Lesnar and Georges St. Pierre are currently set to defend their respective titles at the event.[UFC.com]
— The Florida Boxing Commission has released the official list of fighter payouts from last weekend’s Bellator Fighting Championships’ debut event, which took place Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Six of the promotion’s lightweight tournament winners, including BodogFight veterans Eddie Alvarez and Jorge Masvidal, were paid a show-leading $25,000. The tourney losers were handed $10,000 for their efforts. [MMA Junkie]
— Former EliteXC lightweight Fabricio Camoes will reportedly make his Strikeforce debut at the organization’s inaugural “SHO MMA: Strikeforce Challengers” event on May 15 in Fresno, California. An opponent for the Brazilian is unknown at this time. “Morango” last competed at a ShoXC event last August where he submitted “Ultimate Fighter” alumnus Sam Morgan in the first round. [Tatame.com]
