- Former Affliction featherweights Mark “The Machine” Hominick and Deividas Taurosevicius will lock horns at the upcoming WEC 43 card in Youngstown, Ohio. Hominick and Taurosevicius were originally expected to meet at Affliction: Trilogy before the card was canceled and the promotion ceased operations. [MMA Junkie]

- Former UFC heavyweight contender Vladimir Matyushenko is the latest Affliction fighter to sign under the Zuffa umbrella. Matyushenko will return to the octagon at UFC 103: Franklin vs. Belfort when he takes on UFC newcomer Igor Pokrajac. [MMAWeekly.com]

- Reports have surfaced indicating that UFC newcomer Jake Ellenberger will step up and face Carlos Condit at UFC Fight Night 19. Condit was originally slated to face Chris Lytle but the fight was scrapped when Lytle suffered an injury. [MMAWeekly.com]

- Continuing with the theme of fighters being released, reports have surfaced indicating that The Ultimate Fighter alumni Dan Cramer and George Roop were released following their bouts at UFC 101. [MMA Torch]

Thales Leites is cut, wasnt he just worthy to fight for the belt or did anderson silva just need a win for the streak to stay alive.forrest griffin should be cut, not because he lost,just for running out of the ring like a little girl.in my eyes that was just as bad as Brock’s post fight antics in 100.Ufc needs more sizzle more WWE style hype,forget about jumping out of a pool bj penn ,get a mask and start comming off the top rope LUCHADOR style

@ malcom, That’s some funny shit.
Leites was good but I don’t care that he got cut.  After all, it’s guys that fight like him that make Anderson Silva look bad.  Bring it to Silva and we get to see a former lightheavyweight champ go running out of the ring like a little bitch.  Run Forrest….......Run!!!!!
