Quick Hits: Gouveia-Belcher Likely for UFC 107, Vera Inks Deal With Strikeforce & More

— A middleweight bout between Wilson Gouveia and Alan Belcher is reportedly likely to take place at UFC 107, which is currently scheduled for Memphis, Tennessee on December 12. Both fighters have apparently verbally agreed to the bout. Gouveia has not fought since being brutally stopped with strikes by Nate Marquardt at UFC 95 while Belcher is coming off of a razor-close split decision loss to Yoshihiro Akiyama. [MMA Weekly]

— Kerry Vera, the wife of UFC light heavyweight contender Brandon Vera, has reportedly agreed to a four-fight deal with Strikeforce and will debut with the promotion in November. An opponent for Vera has not yet been found. Vera was victorious in her pro MMA debut at Bellator VI in May, earning a unanimous decision win over Leslie Smith. [Sherdog.com]

— A welterweight fight between “Ultimate Fighter” products Matt Riddle and Nick Osipczak will reportedly occur at UFC 105 on November 14. Riddle has won his first three UFC bouts following the reality show, unanimous decisions over Steve Bruno, Dan Cramer, and Dante Rivera. Ospiczak was also victorious in his UFC debut, submitting Frank Lester in the first round at “The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale”. [MMA Junkie]

— All of the fighters tested following August 29th’s UFC 102 event in Portland, Oregon have tested negative for drugs of abuse and performance-enhancing drugs, the Oregon State Athletic Commission announced on Friday. The six fighters that were selected for testing included Randy Couture, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Chris Leben, Aaron Simpson, Todd Duffee and Evan Dunham. [OSAC]
