EliteXC and ICON Sport veteran Bao Quach will replace an ill Mark Hominick and take on Miletich Fighting Systems product L.C. Davis at Affliction Entertainment’s “Day of Reckoning” show on January 24 in Anaheim, California.
The switch was first reported by The Fight Network and MMA on Tap has since been able to confirm the news. Affliction officials are expected to make a formal announcement regarding Quach’s participation at the event in the coming days.
Quach enters his bout against Davis on a nine-fight winning streak, which has catapulted him into some sets of featherweight rankings after struggling early on in his career. The Team Oyama fighter last competed at ICON Sport’s “Hard Times” event in August, winning a decision over Mark Oshiro.
Hominick was forced to withdraw from the bout earlier this week after coming down with pneumonia.
