Parisyan vs. Hazelett Slated For UFC 106

Welterweight contenders Karo “The Heat” Parisyan and Dustin Hazelett will reportedly meet at UFC 106 on November 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Parisyan last fought at UFC 94: St. Pierre vs. Penn II where he secured a decision over Dong Hyun Kim. Following the victory, Parisyan tested positive for pain killers and his victory was overturned and ruled a no contest.

Parisyan possesses a decorated mixed martial arts record of 18-5. Parisyan holds victories over the likes of Nick Diaz, Chris Lytle, Matt Serra, Nick Thompson, Ryo Chonan, Josh Burkman, and Drew Fickett.

Hazelett, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, possesses a mixed martial arts record of 12-4. Hazelett has spent the last year rehabbing his knee after suffering a torn ACL while preparing for a scheduled bout with Ben Saunders. Hazelett holds victories over the likes of Tamdan McCrory, Josh Burkman, Jonathan Goulet, Diego Saraive, and Chad Reiner.

UFC 106 will feature a main event slating UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar against heavyweight contender Shane Carwin. The card will also feature the return of former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz as he faces UFC hall of famer Mark “The Hammer” Coleman.
