A welterweight bout between Philadelphia Fight Factory product Sam Oropeza and Team BombSquad fighter Don Carlo-Clauss has been added to the undercard of Strikeforce's "Fedor vs. Silva" event.
MMA on Tap was able to confirm the matchup with sources close to both fighters.
"Fedor vs. Silva" takes place February 12 at the Izod Center in Newark, NJ and will air live on Showtime.
Carlo-Clauss, who trains out of the same gym that has produced UFC veterans Jon Jones, Mike Massenzio and Pat Audinwood, has split his last four bouts, most recently falling to John Benoit in October via unanimous decision.
Oropeza, a veteran of larger shows such as Adrenaline MMA and King of the Cage already in his young career, will look to bounce back from his only professional loss - a first-round submission to highly-regarded prospect Myles Jury.
"Fedor vs. Silva" kicks off the opening round of Strikeforce's much-anticipated heavyweight grand prix tournament. First-round matchups on the card include Fedor Emelianenko vs. Antonio Silva and Andrei Arlovski vs. Sergei Kharitonov.
