Nick Diaz to Undergo Plastic Surgery

Nick Diaz will undergo plastic surgery to repair a large amount of scar tissue that has developed around his eyes according to Brian Knapp of The Fight Network.

Las Vegas-based plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Stile will perform the surgery according to Diaz training partner Kit Cope:

“We’re going to get his eyes fixed up,” Cope said. “There’s something they can do to actually fix the scars that makes them a lot smaller. [Stile is] going to have him fixed up so he doesn’t split open so easy. We’re going to go ahead and do that, have another warm-up fight and then come back and snag the title back that belongs to him.”

The scar tissue around Diaz’s eyes certainly factored into his recent loss to K.J. Noons at EliteXC: Renegade this past weekend when the fight was stopped because of several cuts Diaz had suffered on his face.

didn’t know they could do that, be he needed it for sure. before the KJ fight, you could see his eye just ff’d up looking. he’s young enough that if this works he should get a few more titles to add to his resume’.
