UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will defend his title against Shane Carwin at UFC 106 on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sherdog.com is reporting that Carwin’s previous opponent, Cain Velasquez, will now face former IFL heavyweight “Big” Ben Rothwell at UFC 104.
Lesnar, a member of the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy, possesses a mixed martial arts record of 4-1. Lesnar dropped his UFC debut to former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir but has since avenged the loss and secured victories over Randy “The Natural” Couture, and Heath Herring.
Carwin, a native of Denver, Colorado, possesses an unblemished mixed martial arts record of 11-0. Carwin holds victories over the likes of Gabriel Gonzaga, Chrisitan Wellisch, Sherman Pendergarst, Rex Richards, and Rick Slation.
Also on the card will be a light heavyweight bout pitting former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Ortiz going up against former UFC heavyweight champion Mark “The Hammer” Coleman.
