TKO Championship Fighting has announced that Jose “Pele” Landi-Jons will headline the main event of the upcoming TKO 32: Ultimatum, which will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on February 28th.
Landi-Jons is a true veteran of the sport to say the least. He fought for the first time in his career all the way back in 1993, where he submitted Moura Moura with strikes. Since then Landi-Jons has gone on to fight and defeat some of the top fighters in the sport, earning wins over the likes of Matt Hughes, Pat Miletich, and Jorge Patino to name a few.
Even though his record these days may tell a different story, Landi-Jons was considered one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world at one point. He was also a former key member of Chute Boxe, but ended up leaving the team after reportedly not being recognized for his training of the Rua brothers.
An opponent for Landi-Jons is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
