The Ultimate Fighter veteran Junie Allen Browning was arrested on Tuesday in Henderson, Nevada.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Browning was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital’s Siena campus after he ingested a reported 16 pills of Klonopin. The report also states that Browning tried to leave the hospital and while doing so he pushed a female nurse, punched a male nurse and kicked a male nurse.
The LVRJ report states that Browning yelled, “Do you know who I am? I will kill you and rape your family.” Browning faces three counts of battery on a health care provider.
Sherdog.com spoke with Shawn Tompkins who said he entered Browning’s apartment and found a conscious but incoherent Browning. Tompkins stated that Browning told him he’d taken 16-20 pills of Klolopin and was attempting to overdose.
According to Tompkins, Browning was informed that he’d have to ingest a charcoal pill and spend the night in the facility. He then said he left the room and as he did he saw four or five security guards rush into Browning’s room.
Browning, a native of Lexington, Kentucky, possesses a mixed martial arts record of 3-1. Browning holds victories over the likes of Logan Barger, Dustin Walden, and David Kaplan. Browning’s sole professional loss came to Cole Miller at UFC Fight Night 18.
Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the UFC immediately terminated Browning’s UFC contract upon hearing about the arrest. UFC president Dana White said, “He was given an amazing opportunity, but he has some serious issues that are beyond me and what I can do. I’m there for guys and I realize nobody is perfect and guys are going to get into trouble. When that happens, I want to try to help and do something for them. But he needs more help than I can give him. I did what I could for him.”

Somehow I knew his career in the UFC would end along these lines. As for Dana, I was surprised he kept Junie on the show for as long as he did. I woulda thrown Browning off the first time he frakked up, extenuating circumstances or no. Correct me if I’m wrong but . . .
“J.T. Money” Taylor got to the finale, then into Palace Station to push a few dealers around and scream at the top of his lungs, and in response White kicked him off EVEN AFTER HE WON! Regardless of his being an alcoholic.
I realize people are often portrayed in reality shows rather differently than they actually are. White may well be no exception. But . . . Whither the tough all-business mutha from Season 7?

White knew full well of Browning’s rep before he brought him in for TUF. White felt that the ‘casual fan’ would find Browning’s juvenile behavior fun to watch. This has been a basic tenet of White;s attempt to boost viewership for the show. Never mind highlighting the hard work and sacrifice. Let’s make all the free booze they want readily available and show them brawling in the house and trashing the place. Not satisfied with Junie’s antics, he actually brought Junie’‘s brother on theshow the following season, even though that dude had no business in a cage.
Now White tries to take the high road. What a hypocrite.
