White made separate announcements for Griffin and Jackson’s participation at The Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale and Spike TV’s 2007 Video Game Awards respectively.
The upcoming season of the show will feature 16 middleweights competing for a six-figure contract with the UFC. White stated multiple times over the weekend that the show would be completely revamped.
As part of the deal, Jackson will defend his title against Griffin when the show is finished airing, some time in the summer next year.
