Longtime veteran Jeremy Horn will return to action against American Top Team product Wilson Gouveia whenthe Ultimate Fighting Championship travels to the state of Nebraska for the first time in the promotion’s history as they hold another edition of “UFC Fight Night” at the Omaha Civic Auditorium on September 17th.

The organization officially announced the bout earlier today. The show will air live on Spike TV and will precede the season premiere of “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir”. Lightweights Nate Diaz and Josh Neer will collide in the show’s main event.

In his past two fights, Horn was suffered consecutive losses for the first time in eight years. After being caught in a rare submission against Nate Marquardt in February, Horn tapped out to the same hold against grappling wizard Dean Lister at “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rampage vs Team Forrest Finale” last month.

Meanwhile Gouveia recently had a four-fight winning streak snapped in May, being stopped by way of strikes at the hands of newcomer Goran Reljic in the second round of their bout at UFC 84: Ill Will. Prior to the loss, Gouveia scored his biggest career win to date, a brutal knockout of veteran Jason Lambert in January. It’s unknown whether or not the fight against Horn will take place at middleweight or light heavyweight.
