Ferrer, Dolce Win at WCF 6

Dan Ferrer became World Championship Fighting’s first-ever featherweight champion Saturday after submitting promotional poster boy Dan Bonnell with a kimura in the first round of their main event bout at WCF 6. The win was Ferrer’s second in as many fights.

On the undercard, “Ultimate Fighter” alumnus and Team Quest product Mike Dolce scored a controversial stoppage of seasoned veteran Nuri Shakur while 2004 judo Olympian Rick Hawn earned his second professional victory with a knockout of MMA newcomer Billy Flynn.
