MMA on Tap has learned that professional wrestler and mixed martial artist Daniel Puder will return to action at the Strikeforce and EliteXC co-promoted “Shamrock vs Cung Le”, which take place on March 29th at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
The event features a highly anticipated clash between former UFC middleweight champion Frank Shamrock and undefeated Sanshou kickboxer Cung Le.
Puder revealed the news during a recent interview that will be posted in the coming weeks.
The former WWE superstar has not fought since winning a unanimous decision over Richard Dalton at Strikeforce’s Playboy Mansion event in September, improving his perfect professional record to 6-0. He was originally scheduled to compete at Strikeforce: Four Men Enter, One Man Survives in November but plans fell apart at the last minute.
The Cupertino, California native has won three of his six bouts by submission and also owns wins over fellow Strikeforce veterans Jesse Fujarczyk and Mike Cook throughout the course of his career.
An opponent for Puder has not yet been announced.
