Noons, who weighed the division-limit 160 pounds, defends against Edwards, who weighed 158 lbs, in the main event of “Return Of The King’’ Saturday at the Blaisdell Arena on Showtime (10 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast).
The official weigh-in results for tonight’s EliteXC: “Return of the King” event, which will take place at the Neal Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii. All fighters successfully made weight with the exception of Nick Diaz, who weighed-in an astounding nine pounds over the lightweight limit. However EliteXC officials maintain that his bout against Muhsin Corbbrey was slated to take place at a catch-weight prior to yesterday.
The event will be headlined by an EliteXC lightweight title bout between current champion K.J. Noons and top contender Yves Edwards. Another lightweight fight between future DREAM title challenger Diaz and Corbbrey will also take place.
Additional main card bouts also include former EliteXC middleweight champion Murilo “Ninja” Rua vs Tony Bonello, Ron Waterman vs Dave Herman, and Rafael Feijao vs Wayne Cole.
