EliteXC and FOX Sports Net have finally announced a long rumored television deal that will have the cable network air four one-hour specials from the past and present under the ProElite banner on Sunday nights through mid-September to early-October at 9 PM ET.
Among the fighters mentioned to be featured include Kimbo Slice, Frank Shamrock, K.J. Noons and Phil Baroni. Past fights featuring current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and reigning WEC featherweight title holder Urijah Faber will also be shown.
“ProElite has a great track record of staging top-notch bouts with big-name, impact fighters,” FSN Executive VP of Programming and Production George Greenberg said today. “FSN is pleased to be able to showcase EliteXC in FSN’s Sunday Night Sports Block.”
The deal will be the first agreement between the two sides and could lead to an extension in the future. The shows will be hosted and commented on by Jay Glazer and Frank Trigg. Other specifics of the televised bouts are still to be determined.
