Fighting and Entertainment Group today announced details regarding DREAM.12, which will take place on October 25 at the Osaka Castle Hall in Osaka, Japan. For the first time in the organization’s short history, it will use a six-sided cage.
DREAM also released a promotional video for the event, which features eight of the nine announced participants for the fight card. The video can be seen above.
A total of nine participants were revealed today: DREAM welterweight champion Marius Zaromskis, Strikeforce heavyweight title holder Alistair Overeem, Eddie Alvarez, former WEC middleweight champion Paulo Filho, Chute Boxe product Murilo “Ninja” Rua, Kiyoshi Tamura, Katsunori Kikuno, Yoshiro Maeda and Andrews Nakahara.
Alvarez and Kikuno are expected to meet in a lightweight contest at the event. However, Alvarez’s participation overseas seemingly depends on the level of fighter DREAM would be willing to send over to the Bellator Fighting Championships, who currently have Alvarez under contract, in a talent exchange for Bellator’s upcoming second season this winter.
