W-1 MMA has announced that UFC and PRIDE veteran Denis Kang will face Korean sensation Dae Won Kim at W-1: Judgement Day on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Colisee de Laval in Laval, Quebec.
The card will also feature the return of Ivan Menjivar, Antonio Carvalho, Thierry Quenneville, and Adrian Wooley.
Kang, a native of Vancouver, British Colubmia, possesses a mixed martial arts record of 32-12-1. Kang holds victories over the likes of Marvin Eastman, Akihiro Gono, Amar Suloev, and Murilo “Ninja” Rua. Kang was last in action at UFC 105: Couture vs. Vera where he was stopped by UFC middleweight contender Michael “The Count” Bisping.
Kim, a native of Korea, is a judo practitioner who possesses a mixed martial arts record of 11-5. Kim holds victories over the likes of BJJ ace Marcelo Garcia, Yuya Shirai, and Keiichiro Yamamiya.
W-1 Judgement Day will also feature a W-1 bantamweight title fight between Adrian “The Bully” Wooley and Randy Spence.
Wooley, a highly regarded prospect, possesses a mixed martial arts record of 6-1. Wooley holds victories over the likes of Danny Martinez, Remi Morvan, and Syd Barnier. Wooley’s sole blemish came to the hands of WEC veteran Noah Thomas.
Spence, a native of Chico, California, possesses a mixed martial arts record of 11-9. Spence holds victories over the likes of Tony Llamas, Tony Belvidere, Dan Ratiu, and Josh Buck.
