Tonight it was announced that PRIDE Welterweight and Middleweight Champion Dan Henderson will be facing newly crowned UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
Dan Henderson (22-5) appeared in the octagon in May of 98 when he fought in the UFC middleweight tournament defeating Allan Goes and Carlos Newton to win the tourney. That marked the end of Hendo’s time in the UFC and the beginning of his time in Japan. Henderson spent the next 9 years fighting in Japan for Rings and PRIDE going 18-5 with victories over the likes of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Renato Sobral, Wanderlei Silva, Murilo Bustamante, Yuki Kondo, and many others.
A date for the matchup has not been announced.
